Storage Requirements for Bactericides and Algaecides
Leave a message
1. Storage Environment
Temperature Control: Avoid high or low temperature environments. Store in a cool, dry place (recommended temperature 5-35℃), away from heat sources and fire.
Light Protection: Some agents (such as sodium hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide) are photosensitive and require opaque containers or storage in the dark.
Ventilation: The storage space must be well-ventilated to prevent the accumulation of volatile gases (such as chlorine) that could cause poisoning or explosion.
2. Packaging and Sealing
Container Selection: Use corrosion-resistant materials (such as plastic, glass, or stainless steel). Avoid using metal containers to store acidic or alkaline agents.
Sealing: Ensure the container is sealed to prevent the agent from evaporating, absorbing moisture, or reacting with air to become ineffective.
Labeling: Clearly label the agent name, concentration, expiration date, and hazard warnings (such as "corrosive" or "flammable").
3. Safety Measures
Separate Storage: Store separately from food, feed, and oxidants (such as bleaching powder) to avoid mixing and potential chemical reactions. Child/Pet Protection: Store in a high place or locked area to prevent accidental ingestion.
Expiration Date Management: Check expiration dates regularly. Expired medications must be disposed of according to hazardous chemical handling procedures.
